Recyclable structural composites for marine renewable energy, PRIMarRE Conference, 7th-8th July 2020, online

The University of Plymouth will be hosting the 7th PRIMaRE Conference online on 7th and 8th July 2020.

The annual Partnership for Research in Marine Renewable Energy (PRIMaRE) conference provides a forum for exchanging the latest research and development, and fostering collaborations on marine renewable energy.

The conference covers a wide range of topics, including: technology, policy, environment, hydrodynamics, resource characterisation, materials, operations and management.

It is an opportunity for the PRIMaRE network to showcase the research conducted among the different partner institutions, their industrial collaborators and the wider academic sector.

The University of Plymouth will present the SeaBioComp project at the conference and will detail the work being done to develop demonstrators using innovative bio-based thermoplastic composite materials.

In particular the University of Plymouth will discuss their investigations into the manufacture using monomer infusion, of structural composites for the marine environment.
