SeaBioComp project presented at Clean Growth event at Portsmouth University

SeaBioComp presentation University of Portsmouth

The University of Portsmouth, working with the Knowledge Transfer Network, and Portsmouth City Council hosted an event to support the UK's 'Clean Growth Strategy' in November 2019.

The day was aimed at executive level managers, research and development leads, directors of operations and technical directors who received updates from the Knowledge Transfer Network on access to funding in clean growth sectors.

Keynote presentations setting the clean growth scene were followed by a series of themed workshops delivered by the university and industry experts . Professor Hom Dhakal (UoP), hosted a workshop looking at 'Sustainable Bio-based Polymer/Plastics for Marine and Packaging Applications', he presented the SeaBioComp project to twenty delegates, explaining the development of bio-based composites for marine applications.

Simon Powell from Marine South East, spoke about the SeaBioComp demonstration products and invited delegates to join the project Interest Group. Members will be be kept updated of project progress and will receive invitations to a series of workshops. http://www.seabiocomp.eu/interest_group/
